What is Zen?

Zen invites us to settle into this breath, this body, this moment, and to awaken to our Buddha nature. Nothing added. Nothing taken away.
When we sit together in silence, we meet life more directly — with less resistance and more openness. Over time, this intimacy and spaciousness offers the opportunity to move through our daily living, shaping how we listen, relate, and respond.
  • Zen practice begins by sitting meditation or Zazen and meeting life exactly as it is.
During sitting, thoughts, sensations, and emotions come and go without creating a story around them.

In this simple act, we offer the opportunity to discover:

    • a natural stillness

    • more space around our thoughts

    • a gentler relationship with what arises

    • the courage to stay present with ourselves and look inward.

Zen practice offers the opportunity to realize and awaken to our True nature, and to appreciate our life as perfectly imperfect human beings.
