Rohatsu Retreat
What to ExpectIlluminate the nature of suffering
and the possibility of freedom
Rohatsu marks the awakening of the Buddha. What he awakened to was not an idea or doctrine, but the nature of suffering and the possibility of freedom.
This five day retreat, we will enter silence and sitting meditation (zazen) together, closing on the day of the Buddha’s awakening.
We sit not to achieve something, but to come into direct contact with what is. Through zazen, kinhin, teaching, and meeting, we stay long enough to see what keeps the wheel turning—and what becomes possible when we no longer follow it blindly.
You are welcome to join the introductory day, the sesshin (retreat), or both.
❋ Intentional StructureWe blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.
